3. Langdale to Elphinstone

By Car:

Get off the ferry and take a right at the first big intersection immediately after you exit the Langdale Ferry Terminal gates, onto Port Mellon Highway 101. Drive 1 km on Port Mellon and then turn right onto YMCA Road.

YMCA Road goes a short distance through a residential area, then you'll see the gates of Elphinstone to the right.

Map:Langdale to Elphinstone

Drive to the gates and stop, where you will be met at Registration/Gate/Security where your registration will be confirmed. There will be a greeter station a little further on down the road. This is different than in past years due to the fact that we need to keep the road from the gate to the Greeters Station free and clear for a fire truck. This is a regulation that we need to follow. Parking is restricted and parking on the roadway will result in the towing of your vehicle without notice - adequate parking is available in the upper parking lot after you have unloaded your gear.

By Foot:

Please see walking to Elphinstone for a map.
