I am in charge of putting together the program for Recompression this year. Seeing as how this year is our tenth anniversary extraordinaire, I thought it would be fun to include pictures from all 9 previous Recompressions. If you have any favourite pics - especially from earlier years - please send them as high-res JPEGS (as high as possible up to 3 megs file size) to: program at recompression.com. RECOMPRESSION THEME!2010 marks a significant year for Recompression - it is our 10th anniversary! And seeing as how the Roman numeral for 10 is "X" we introduce this year's theme: PLANET X Planet X is the unknown 10th planet that exists just beyond humanity's technological ability to observe it. Many theories abound as to what this planet is and its affects on our world. Some believe that it is the home of the Sumerian and Egyptian gods that seeded our world with human life at the dawn of time. Some believe it is a giant gaseous planet that will herald the dawning of a new age in human evolution when its dramatic orbit brings it close to Earth. Some believe it is ruled by sentient beings of pure light and music. Some believe it to be inhabited solely by a legion of flying belly dancing samurai ninja bunny cowboy unicorn monkey clowns that plan to take over the earth by burning wooden effigies. Some believe it doesn't exist at all... "X" also represents the unknown factor in science and popular myth; the phenomena and experiences that lie just beyond the limits of our understanding. What is life like on Planet X? What does Planet X look like? How does the "X" factor inspire you? The theme will be incorporated into the Decor for the Moose Lodge and Common Spaces, and is often used to inspire your theme cabins & costumes!
